The Free Software Foundation has commissioned an animated short to help explain what Free Software is.The very cool video (see it below) was made by Urchin Studios using exclusively Free Software tools, such as Blender, GIMP, Inkscape, andd FFmpeg.
Apart from helping everybody understand what’s at stake when choosing between free and proprietary software, the FSF also intends to draw attention to its current fundraising efforts: to continue operating through 2015, the FSF needs to raise $525,000, preferably by January 31st. If you think the work the FSF carries out is important (and you probably should), head over to their site and donate a few bucks so they can continue fighting the good fight.
