In Space Everybody can Hear you Blip
NASA has just put online a huge number of sound clips for free download and use. Ideal for mixing into music, or for sound effects in films, the clips include sounds taken from different kinds of rockets taking off (turn the volume down before playing these); eerie blips, hisses and squawks from our solar system and beyond; and mission control chatter with astronauts.
NASA has always maintained an excellent track record when it comes to sharing their material, and it’s not only sounds either, but also images, videos, and even 3D models and resources. The license requires you attribute NASA, and you can’t use their logo or make out that NASA endorses your work, but that’s it in the way of restrictions.
