Plingzine’s New Look

In today’s obvious news, we have changed the look of Plingzine, our blog/magazine on all things Free, Open and Plingable. We have tried to make it more attractive and easy to use. By arranging recent posts into two columns, we can cram more information on the front page without making it to cluttery. This helps you keep up with current news without having to wade through the archives. Plus, narrower columns increase readability.

Within the backend, we now have an events calendars (check out the “Upcoming events” box at the bottom of this page) and you can now share with more social media networks than before (click the “More” button at the bottom of each preview / article to see more options). We are also using a new gallery engine that makes viewing pictures a more pleasant experience.

Plingzine has also gone mobile. Check out this site on your phone or tablet and you should see a nice, clean and readable page.

Of coures, we don’t think of this as final and done thing. We understand there is always room for improvement, so if you have any ideas on how to make Plingzine better or would like to express youre feelings on the new design, comment away below!
