Krita, the free painting application, is looking to raise €15,000

Krita, the free and open sourced painting program, is looking to raise €15,000 to pay developer Dmitry Kazakov to work full time on the project for 12 months.

Krita, along with 3D design and animation program Blender, the bitmap retouching program GIMP, the vector design application Inkscape, and the 2D animation program Synfig (which, by the way, is on Pling), is one of the best free design programs out there, rivalling in functionality with expensive proprietary applications such as Adobe’s Photoshop.
