The free “Introduction to Linux” course starts Friday

Edx and the Linux Foundation have teamed up to bring a free online “Introduction to Linux” course to users worldwide.

No previous knowledge of Linux is necessary to be able to attend the course, so it is ideal for beginners who would like to understand what all the Linux fuss is about, see if Linux is the right fit for them, and hit the ground running if they finally decide to install and start using this operating system.

Although students are free to take the course at their leisure, the creators have estimated that an average student should be able to complete it in about 40 hours.
